Annnd Cat-Koala retuns! ^_^
Thanks for looking at my semi-Gail Simone-centric google photo-spam of the night! See ya later, Tumblr-ites! Thanks, Gail, for being so wonderful, down to earth and awesome!
You are way too kind, and I am reblogging because LOOK AT THAT KOALA!
My lovely friend Dee, who is awesome in all ways, made me a Black Alice and Huntress plushie, and this amazing Cat-Koala, when I was down in Australia last visit.
You can probably see that my smile is genuine, holy crap, look at it!
The funny thing is, just this morning I moved the Catman and Huntress plushies to my bookshelf right by my computer so they could watch over me as I type. They’re looking at me now!
I have to take credit for the Catman koala from Sydney I’m afraid. I was having a Catman logo t-shirt made up which I’d planned to wear to Armageddon, but it didn’t arrive in time so I made the outfit for the koala instead. I wish I’d had more time to make him look less dorky! (Also, thank you for signing the massive pile of comics I dumped in front of you, that was just amazing! If you ever make it back to Australia I’ll have to bring a wombat dressed as Ragdoll or something next!)
Oh, no!
I’m so sorry! I got my plushies mixed up! SORRY! I love him!
Wow, I feel bad. That was totally my mistake. But he’s adorable and sitting looking at me right now!
Oh, don’t worry at all! I saw a huge pile of amazing plush on your table by Sunday afternoon so it’s no wonder. I’m super glad you liked him, and am very happy that he’s still hanging around like…well, like a koala.
It’s true that people bring me things at conventions. I always feel guilty because I’m so happy just to talk to readers and so grateful already, but at some conventions, I have to buy another suitcase for the cool booty. Readers are amazing.
They’ve brought food, home made and local delicacies, toys, games, books, comics clothes, candy, flowers, and endless amounts of homemade stuff. I keep most of it together in one area in my office. Australia was crazy this time, people brought sacks of presents…I never know what to say. It’s so kind, but I don’t want people to think they HAVE to do that.
The guys at the DC booth always make fun of me for it, they say they’ve never seen people bring so many little presents. I cherish them, they make me happy for sure. Like this little koala guy still brings me smiles all these months later.
I don’t know what to say, readers are the best people in the universe.
