I understand that frustration about the many artists doing the book. The truth is, life just punched a bunch of our favorite artists in the face at JUST the wrong time. Illnesses, family emergencies, serious problems that they couldn’t foresee or avoid.
Life happens.
In the meantime, we’ve been fighting to find the RIGHT person to take over the book. We had a list, and one of the very top names was Jesus Saiz, who did great work on MANHUNTER but even BETTER work on his more recent stuff.
Long story short, he said yes, and he’s our new ongoing penciller!
This guy draws like a bandit. We LOVE his work, and when he turned in his first bop cover, I almost lost my mind.
This is going to be the best BOP year EVER!
