Do you feel it’s possible to write a positive female character, who is both physically and mentally strong while she still acknowledges her sexuality? Some of my stuff has been called misogynistic for my female character’s use and acknowledgment of their sexuality and their willingness to be physical in a fight.
I don’t know your material in particular, but of course you can have a female character be powerful and sexual, I am not even sure I understand the question. There should be a RANGE of characters on these spectrums…I am okay with Power Girl’s outfit and Catwoman’s innuendo because they exist in a spectrum that also has Wonder Woman and Aunt May and every other female character. If they ALL behaved like, say, the Black Cat, that would get dreary fast and would definitely be sexist, in my opinion. But A character behaving like that, out of hundreds displaying so much variety, doesn’t bother me.
My only other objection is if it is out of character. Wonder Woman shouldn’t speak or act like Catwoman, for example.
