Argh, I suck at this. I honestly don’t keep up with a lot of names in film. It’s horrible, I just…I almost never read the credits. How messed up is that, that I’m a writer who doesn’t read the credits?

I am awful.

I really don’t have an answer. Most of the Marvel films recently were very enjoyable, but fell down on the portrayal of females (Avengers is a notable and thankfully acknowledged exception). And of course Superman Returns had an awful Lois.

I don’t know. Joss?

I want a Wonder Woman who has at least SOME humor to her, even if it’s very dark.

I honestly haven’t got a good guess.

Anyone with any thoughts?

  2. captainsparklypants said: I’d like to see Lucy Lawless play her (I’m aware she has voiced her in the past). She may be a little old for the tastes of most of Hollywood, but I always feel like Wonderwoman shouldn’t be shown as a 20 year old with more fashion sense than muscle.
  3. antiherobrand said: I would expect Wonder Woman to have a very stoic, dry humor about things. Unless she’s been off the island for a long time, then maybe very dark or sarcastic.
  4. kevindrakewriter said: I know Joss tried his hand at writing a Wondy script, but it apparently was a production nightmare and was glad to be rid of it. I think Darren Aronofsky would do a good WW origin movie.
  5. jeandrawsstuff said: Lauren Montgomery. Yeah yeah, biased animation person here but she did a kickass Wonder Woman movie for a fraction of the budget a live action movie project would get. :P
  6. windona said: I wholeheartedly agree with Joss Whedon. He has experiance writing strong, compelling females (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and has shown with the Avengers his skill in making a compelling super hero movie.
  7. knittingcartoonist said: I think Joss would make a fantastic WW movie! :D Did you hear that Joss also pitched a Batman movie a long time back? I would give my right arm to hear that pitch!….Or maybe a leg since I need my arms for drawing and knitting. :P
  8. therearecertainshadesoflimelight said: Jaime Alexander who unfortunately has been snapped up by Marvel would be great.
  9. great-name-leto said: The dude who directed Drive is/was interested in making a Wonder Woman movie.
  10. distractedbyshinyobjects said: Joss actually has a WW script already locked and ready to go. DC wasn’t interested, so he took the Avengers gig. By all accounts, Joss’s WW script is badASS.
