i can’t use ask boxes here in singapore for some reason, but i read the collection of the new 52 batgirl today and i may have squealed a little when babs’ roommate made her laksa. and then when i found out that she was actually singaporean when she talks about singapore at christmas. that made me so incredibly happy and i just wanted to say thanks for that. :]

Thank you so much! I have said it many times, but on my visits to Singapore, to say I fell in love with the place and the people is a huge understatement. I have memories of that place that make me tear up a little just to contemplate. The friends I made there are some of the most treasured in my life.
But there’s also another thing, which is that I hate the idea of the DCU being the same four cities all the time. I want to know what the rest of the world looks like. And it feels weird not to represent that.
I promise, big things are happening with Alysia, and it will be a bit of a wait, but eventually, Batgirl will be going to Singapore. And finally, it’s not just Laksa, it’s KATONG Laksa (best in the world and I will fight anyone who disagrees!).  :)
