Secret Six Issue 11 - Pg 22 WONDER WOMAN

Did you buy this original, pinkoftheink ? It’s crazy gorgeous.

Nicola amazes me. When we work together, she’s more like my sister than a collaborator. I have two pages of her art, one is a beautiful page with my favorite Misfit pose.

Interesting fun fact.  Nicola lays out the entire page and sketches it in, in reverse, on the back of each page of art. So she drew THIS page (and all others) first, BACKWARDS, flipped right to left, on the back of the page, then puts it on a lightbox and draws the final version on the front, using the reversed layout on the back as the guideline. So every page of comics art she does almost always has another, sketchier but still cool, reversed piece of art on the side.

The brainpower it takes to make that happen, I have no idea.
The hug she drew at the end of this arc between a grieving Artemis and Diana is one of my all-time favorite panels ever of any book I’ve written. “Lead us, princess. Lead ME.”
“I cannot. But you don’t truly NEED me to.”

And Nicola, of course, nailed it.
