Zatanna
Every once in a while, I just get on a kick where there’s a character I want to write and he or she won’t leave my head. For a long time, it was Geoff’s Crimson Avenger. I definitely want to write Superman again and I often get the urge to write a good Titans story (which I’m afraid I haven’t done yet).
But lately, it’s Zatanna. What a fun, smart, funny, sexy, dangerous character. Paul Dini is the world’s ultimate Zatanna fan and maybe the best writer she has ever had, but if he ever needs a hiatus or something, there’s a story about her I am dying to tell.
I even like her superhero costume sometimes (not the one with the pixie boots, the one with the salamander on her head).
Magic superheroes are tough in comics. They often lack a sense of real peril. I’d love to write a story where she seemed like she was really in danger.
Zatanna.
Paul, call me.
